With over 20 years of public speaking experience, Jess knows how to engage an audience and spark imaginations. From formal university settings, to specialized science communication, to invited talks for community groups, Jess is skilled at reaching people of all ages and backgrounds. Her ability to tell fascinating stories mixed with healthy doses of interesting, factual material keeps crowds wanting more.
Jess was recently invited to give a TEDx talk at the Claremont Colleges, and participated in NASA's FameLab initiative. She frequently gives scientific talks at major professional conferences, and regularly speaks to K-12 classes and university groups as part of Blueprint Earth, the nonprofit research organization she co-founded. She has been interviewed for radio by National Public Radio stations KPCC Los Angeles and WBEZ Chicago, and recently appeared on international podcast This Week in Science. Jess is available for speaking engagements worldwide.
